Call for NATC 2015 Workshop Proposals

TCA is putting out a call for taiko teachers and taiko professionals to submit Workshop Proposals for the 2015 North American Taiko Conference!

DATES: NATC 2015 is June 11-14, and workshops will be held on Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13
DURATION: Workshop sessions will be 2.5 hours in length.
LOCATION: All workshops will be held on the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) campus

CONTENT:
Any and all taiko and taiko-related or taiko-relevant workshop topics are welcome.

Workshop leaders may submit up to three separate workshop proposals. If a particular workshop is very popular, NATC may ask a workshop leader to lead more than one session of the same workshop or increase the number of participants per session.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING WORKSHOP PROPOSALS IS OCTOBER 1, 2014

WORKSHOP LEADER BENEFITS:
Workshop leaders will receive a teaching stipend of $250 per workshop, complimentary registration for NATC, and free room and board if staying in dorm housing on campus. If staying in a hotel, a subsidy of comparable value will be given, currently estimated at $300 per person. Compensation may increase as resources allow.

SELECTION TIMELINE:
A small committee of experienced taiko teachers will vet Workshop Proposals. The NATC Committee will accept or reject workshop proposals based on the recommendations and will notify all applicants of their decision no later than October 31, 2014.
