The Taiko Community Alliance (TCA) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to empower the people and advance the art of taiko. We honor this mission with core values of respect, heritage & evolution, empowerment, inclusivity, and transparency.

TCA was the first nonprofit outside of Japan to provide art services and resources to taiko practitioners. We seek to strengthen the network of taiko practitioners in North America, share traditions and repertoire, document the history of taiko, and support the development of the art form.

NATC 2025 Early Bird Registration & Drummers’ Circle is now open!

Upcoming Events

TAIKODORI

a fundraising concert collab presented by TCA and the Southern Arizona Taiko Showcase

Please note that TAIKODORI was postponed due to necessary repairs at the theatre. Its new date and time are available below.

January 12, 2025 2:30p PST

Enjoy the strength and beauty of both taiko and odori together in a showcase that both highlights the talents of taiko groups in Southern Arizona and helps fundraise for NATC Phoenix. There will be a silent auction in addition to the feature performance.

CENSUS HAS LAUNCHED!

Every four years, TCA hosts the Taiko Census to measure how taiko has grown, and see what major trends exist for the community. This year will be the first census post-pandemic, so it will be critical to get as many folks counted as possible to accurately see its impact.

UPDATE: As of 7/25/2024 we are over halfway to our goal of over 1,000 responses! Please continue sharing and make sure all of your taiko fam is counted in this year’s census.

An annual tradition started by Ger Tysk, Tamiko Ooka, and our Volunteer Committee in 2022.
