Beyond The Drum (BTD) is TCA’s first-ever virtual conference. A unique event to our well-established, biannual North American Taiko Conference (NATC), BTD puts the spotlight on the roles, conversations, immense amount of work and skill that contribute to the preservation and growth of our taiko community beyond playing taiko.
BTD will take place from July 30 through August 1, 2021. Registration is now open! Click below to learn more about BTD and secure your spot today.
As we transition from more than a year of artistic life in the virtual world, TCA is preparing to support our community in coming together for both virtual and in-person gatherings and, of course, taiko playing.
As with any goal, the best chance for success is to come prepared, and so we’re here to ask for your support to Keep TCA Running. This not only means bolstering our financial health, but even more importantly, supporting our community’s health.
Learn more about how our community is coming together to complete TCA’s first-ever Virtual 5K and how you can support us in our mission to empower the people and advance the art of taiko.
Designed by Sharon Sato-Dow with contributions by Mirabella Angel-Hernandez, Ed Angel-Hernandez, Dana Wisehart, Michelle Mosser, and Jon Whitsell, the TCA Tee was chosen by TCA’s membership as the first-ever TCA-branded t-shirt. This design represents our connection to the taiko community in all its diversity, with each individual’s variety in passion and interest uniting to create a beautiful piece of art.
