The Taiko Community Alliance (TCA) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to empower the people and advance the art of taiko. We honor this mission with core values of respect, heritage & evolution, empowerment, inclusivity, and transparency.

TCA was the first nonprofit outside of Japan to provide art services and resources to taiko practitioners. We seek to strengthen the network of taiko practitioners in North America, share traditions and repertoire, document the history of taiko, and support the development of the art form.

NATC 2025 Open Call for Workshop Instructors

Deadline October 21, 2024

Do you have a great idea for a taiko workshop? Have you already been teaching something that you think should be shared with the broader taiko community? Then consider applying to NATC 2025’s Open Call.

Applications will be evaluated by the conference planning Selection Committee and we will know by November who will be asked to teach at next year’s conference.

CENSUS HAS LAUNCHED!

Every four years, TCA hosts the Taiko Census to measure how taiko has grown, and see what major trends exist for the community. This year will be the first census post-pandemic, so it will be critical to get as many folks counted as possible to accurately see its impact.

UPDATE: As of 7/25/2024 we are over halfway to our goal of over 1,000 responses! Please continue sharing and make sure all of your taiko fam is counted in this year’s census.
